Driving Directions to Caherdaniel

From Killarney either follow the N70 Ring of Kerry Road to Killorglin and Cahersiveen (the nearest big town). Continue through Caherciveen and Waterville until you come to the small village of Caherdaniel. Derrynane House and Gardens, National Park and Beach is a short distance to away - if you key the eircode for Derrynane House (V23 FX65) into your maps app, it will bring you the main carpark.

 

Travelling from overseas ?

Visitors can fly into Kerry Airport with Aer Lingus Regional or Ryanair.

There are car hire facilities at the airport.

Bus Eireann has services from Killarney.

Irish Rail The Nearest rail station is located in Killarney and visitors can complete the journey   by bus, taxi or hackney hire.

Local link Kerry provides regular bus services throughout the peninsula

Dublin to Caherdaniel - 5/6hours if you take a meal break enroute.
Cork Airport to Caherdaniel– 2.25 hours
Shannon Airport to Caherdaniel– 3 hours
Kerry Airport to Caherdaniel -1.5 hours
Killarney to Caherdaniel– 1.25 hours

N.B. we strongly advise visitors driving to follow the N70 Ring of Kerry road from Killarney. GPS can take you up some interesting roads which are beautiful but not recommended as a first time visitor experience after a long flight!!
